Making Donations

TRC runs three different conservation programs: Save-an-Acre, Save-a-Species, and Rainforest Growth Fund which you can donate to online by credit card, or by mailing TRC a check with a printable donation form. Donors to any one of these programs will receive a frameable certificate. If a donor wishes to send a donation but not designate a specific program, they will need to fill out the mail-in donation form. Note that they will not receive a certificate then, but only a receipt for tax records. Please read below for more specific information on ways to donate.

Donate to a Program and Receive Certificates of Recognition

All donors or designated recipients will receive a certificate of recognition of their donation unless specifically requested not to. It has been increasingly popular to send certificates as a gift to family and friends for birthdays, graduations, weddings and bar mitzvahs, for example. For online donations, the gift recipient's name should be entered in the shipping address portion of the online order form, even if the shipping address is the same as the billing address. This can be noted in the "Comments" field. The submitted "Shipping Address" name is what will appear on the certificate itself. One certificate per order unless designated in multiple quantities.

Certificates are sent by US Postal Service. We cannot fulfill rush orders and we do not ship overnight. Please allow at least two weeks shipping from the time your order has been processed, and more if it is close to the holidays. If this is a gift for someone, please place your order several weeks ahead of time—don't procrastinate. The holidays are an especially busy time of year for TRC. We advise placing your orders ahead of time to receive your certificate.

Online Donations

TRC accepts Visa and Mastercard credit cards online via a secure payment processing system. Select a quantity below and click the "Donate" button. After your selection, you will be able to return to this page to make additional selections. Our transactions are maintained with the utmost privacy and security. Credit Card numbers are encrypted for your safety. For more information, read our Privacy and Security Policy. Unless you wish to specifically request a project (entered under "Comments"), your donation will be added to one of the funds you choose below which will be allocated to current projects at the discretion of TRC's Board.

If you do not wish to pay online by credit card, you may print and fill out the mail-in form. Mail it with a check to TRC's address as indicated on the form. Please allow an additional 2-3 weeks shipping time from the time sent. Schools will receive one certificate per class or fundraiser. Businesses and organizations will receive one certificate in the institution's name.

With the mail-in option, you can choose not to specify a particular program or project, and leave it solely up to TRC's discretion as to how the funds should be allocated. Note that in this case, a donor will not receive a certificate, only a receipt for tax purposes.
