Many Projects, Many Goals:
More than one way to save rainforests
Tropical Rainforest Coalition supports several ongoing rainforest conservation projects throughout the world. TRC recognizes that rainforest preservation means more then just buying acres. As a result, TRC funds three different categories of projects to make the most efficient use of your donations.
Rainforest Growth Fund
The Rainforest Growth Fund "invests" in habitat sustainability for the long term. Land purchases are only the first step. TRC helps fund research, ecotourism, community participation and education and other essential infratructure to conserve rainforests. Read more and make a donation.
Save-an-Acre
Save-an-Acre focuses on acquisition of forest lands for preservation. This funding covers related legal, land title fees and other costs required to secure new land. Read more and make a donation.
Save-a-Species
Save-a-Species focuses on programs that foster the protection of endangered species of animals or plants through breeding, research, and community programs. Read more and make a donation.
Unless requested for a specific project by the donor, donations will be allocated to the projects by TRC's choosing based on many criteria including urgency, accountability, sustainability, and last date of previous funding.
How a Coalition of Groups is Saving the Rainforests
TRC's funds for rainforest conservation do not come from a single source: individuals, schools, businessesses and organizations have contributed to TRC's programs. Read how others have successfully raised funds to support rainforest conservation:
Thank You to All Our Supporters
Without all the help received over the years, conserving rainforests would not be possible. TRC thanks all those who have made a difference. TRC has listed some of our generous donors here.
